The Norwich City right-back, 19, was subbed out of England U21’s win over Kosovo last night, and finished the night with a protective boot on his leg
Aarons was forced out of the game following a goal-saving block.
However, despite his injury, the Norwich defender won the man of the match award.
The good news for Norwich fans is that there’s a chance that Max Aarons is fit to play against Man City this weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s charges head to Carrow Road in the Premier League on Saturday.
Speaking to the Pink Un.com after the England match, Aarons discussed his injury against Kosovo:
It is just precautionary. I have the crutches out as well but let’s see in the morning. Hopefully nothing too serious.
I thought initially when I made the tackle it was my left knee and there was a lot of pain but by the time I got back to the changing room and then had a shower it felt a lot better.
The physios have had a look and it is the left ankle area so that is why I have got the boot on.
