Alex Neil Left Sweating On Timm Klose Injury

Alex Neil is hopeful of good news after Timm Klose was forced to leave the field in the first half at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

Klose collided with Dwight Gayle and suffered what looked like a knock to his left knee that forced him off in the 40th minute, being replaced by Seb Bassong.

Klose has been an impressive force int he Norwich defense in the last few weeks and potentially losing him from the squad at this crucial time in the season would be a big blow, and it's fair to say that we're all keeping our fingers crossed that it's not too bad.

Klose left Selhurst Park on crutches but Alex Neil is optimistic that it's not too serious.

'With these type of things it is difficult to say straight after a game because you need to get scans and all the medical checks to see if there is going to be any swelling in it," Neil told the EDP.

"We would be really hopeful that it is not going to be too bad because he has been a big player for us. It looks like his knee. By no means it is a terrible injury. The fact that he could put weight through it and he was able to walk back on we are hoping if anything it will be a minimal lay-off."

Alex Neil also revealed that he will be watching with interest on Sunday lunchtime, hoping that Leicester can do his men a favour at The Stadium of Light, ahead of Sunderland`s crunch relegation 6 pointer visit to Carrow Road next weekend.

"Sunderland was always going to be a big match. Regardless of whether we won or lost," he said. "If we had won here it was going to be massive for Sunderland. If we had got a draw then the situation doesn`t really change and if we had lost, like we have, then it was always going to be built up even bigger.
