After a very good spot by writers at Vital Norwich, highlighting a tweet from Javier Garrido in which he suggestes that Daniel Ayala could be on his way out of Norfolk.
Today the Northern Echo opens the lid a little more by stating that Middlesbrough chairman Steve Gibson while continuing his search for a new manager, after his sacking of Tony Mowbray; is sanctioning a move by caretaker boss Mark Venus to sign Ayala to ease the side’s defensive problems.
Boro shipped three goals to Barnsley on Saturday and with Jonathan Woodgate and Rhys Williams struggling for fitness, Gibson has given the green light for Venus to bring in reinforcements.
Ayala has been on Boro’s radar for some time and after failing to land the central defender in the summer, it appears Venus has gone back in for him.
If it goes through we can only wish Ayala all the best, he needs to be playing much the same as Becchio
