While we all get bored with waiting for the Grant Holt soap opera to reach it's final episode, there is another of City's strikers that has a huge question mark over his head, he has been virtually over looked since his loan spell at Crystal Palace.
Chris martin who showed so much promise in his very early days that Sir Alex was said to watching him, he went on to fulfill some of that promise in a terrific season in League One. The championship proved to be a little harder for him, which leaves the question is the Premiership way too far for him ?
He has not always helped himself and endeared himself to the fans along with perhaps staff at City, by his off field antics.
But what will become of him now under Hughton ? Will he be shipped out on loan like under the previous manager, be kept here to delvelop futher under new staff or will he simply be sold on ?
I don't think there will be a shortage of offers for the lad if Hughton wants to cash in on him, here is just a selction of the rumours we have heard.
Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has gone public stating his wish to get Martin back to Selhurst Park on a permanent basis.
Burnley are reported to be interested in a deal for him, along with Millwall. The last one and perhaps a little more tongue in cheek, is that he is used in a deal to bring Jordan Rhodes to Norfolk valuing him at about £3 million in an £8 million deal.
Like other members of the squad, he will have to wait to see what Chris Hughton wants to do.
