The latest rumour has come from South Wales where the local press are reporting that we are potentially set to hijack Swansea's move for Dwight Gayle, a player the we have apparently been watching for some while.

Swansea City have made a £7.5 million bid for Crystal Palace striker Dwight Gayle,  and the 25-year-old front man is believed to be available for transfer in January, with his first team chances looking limited with the arrival at the club of Emmanuel Adebayor

His stats though don't make him look much better than what we have got with 12 goals in 55 games for Palace, I'd almost rather play Lafferty that spend £7.5m on a non-scoring striker.
