City Youth Have First Leg Advantage with a Controversal Goal

Well done to City lads they overcome Nottingham Forest 1-0 in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup semi final, at the City Ground. City edged the evenly contested and absorbing tie in front of ITV4 cameras with a late goal from Reece Hall Johnson.

City full back Norman was allowed too much to room to cross from the right and, more decisively, Hall Johnson was allowed the total freedom to head home at the far post – although there was a suggestion that the ball had glanced his head and onto the arm on it's short journey into the net.

The referee and his officials were probably insighted, but perhaps more tellingingly the Forest players made no serious appeals for handball.
