I had a little moan the other day over the omission of Bassong and RVW from yesterday's squad at Dereham, more about the lack of information than being missing, after players can be injured, or pulled uo a little and not worth the risk in this leg stretchers.
Yesterday Adams said the following
Bassong was part of the development squad who travelled to Boston United and club-record signing van Wolfswinkel trained on Saturday morning along with Republic of Ireland duo Wes Hoolahan and Anthony Pilkington, Martin Olsson and Mark Bunn.
“I’ll wait for the report from Paul Nevin and depending on that we’ll see if he is involved at Braintree but Ricky will be involved,” he said. “There are a few who trained today. Ricky didn’t train yesterday but he has worked today with Martin Olsson, Wes Hoolahan, Pilkington and Mark Bunn and they will all be involved on Tuesday night providing they are okay.
Seb has trained and played in the development squad at Boston so we have to see how he has gone.”
Now why the heck could this not have been said Friday ? it was'nt as if we were facing an important league match, it would have stopped the frustrations of the fans building, along with stopping the speculation and rumours flying everywhere. But we are just fans the ones the club keeps boasting about as the best in the land who they sing praises themselves when they want to butter us up.
But to me with Bassong being sent to play with the youngsters could well be a sign that he is heading for the revolving door, we may be hearing he is training with them next.
This is still so much distrust and lack of confidence surrounding the club at the moment and stupid omissions like this only serve make both stronger and spread, I can see no reason what so ever not to release this little snippet earlier.
