It is awith a degree of sadness that we heard this week of the death of City Hall of Fame member Tommy Bryceland at the age of 76
Whilst never having seen him play as I'm a bit too young, he was always a favourite player of many, including my dad.
A skilful and intelligent inside forward, Tommy made 284 appearances for City between 1962 and 1969, having previously lifted the Scottish FA Cup with St Mirren.
He was a key part of the Norwich team which famously dumped a star-studded Manchester United side out of the FA Cup in 1967, as they triumphed 2-1 against a Red Devils eleven including Best, Law, Stiles and Charlton.
Tommy allied his creativity with an eye for goal, hitting the net 55 times for City and finishing as the Club’s second-highest scorer in a season on three occasions.
