Any internet site featuring City are buzzing with the news that we have bid £5 million for Swansea's Danny Graham,  which if reports are correct matches Sunderland's bid for the player.  This would break City's transfer record.

While Graham has been the subject of  many rumours linking him with City,  knowing how City do their dealings I do find it strange that the bid is in the public domain; but there are other parties who could have leaked the news.

I have read that Graham is a Northern lad and a Newcastle supporter at heart  and has been on record as saying he would play for anyone except Sunderland, while that is a nice thought, it should be taken with a pinch of salt.  But there is one little thing which could swing it for City, that Graham and Grant Holt are said to be friends.
