Regular readers of these news pages will know that I like to pick up on what is going on with Canaries of the past who have flown the nest and moved onto pastures new, and today is no exception as whilst watching Sky Sports News just now my ears pricked up at the news that former Canary Chris Martin is back in a rich run of form for Derby County
The man who often divided supporters opinion while he was here has now got 4 goals in his last 4 games, in a line up today that includes three other formar Norwich players in Jacob Butterfield, Jason Shackell and Bradley Johnson
This has had the effect of taking him to 54 goals now for the club now in all competitions, and at just 26 he should be good for a few more seasons yet, his 54 goals for Derby is 20 more than he scored in his various years at Norwich.
