It is understood that Hughton wants to extend Javier Garrido's loan deal from Lazio after his consistent start to the season.  Hughton has been delighted with his form and is understood to be keen to retain his services for next season as well.
City want to open talks with Lazio about extending the loan, but Garrido will be in the last year of his four-year contract with them next term and they would prefer to sell the Spaniard outright.

Garrido is understood to be settled in the Norwich area and not keen to go back to Italy at the end of the season.
