A little further heat has been cranked up on the Jordan Rhodes story/rumour, yesterday Blackburn boss Gary Bowyer played down the speculation that the striker would be leaving, saying he would not be going anywhere.
It seems as if the the Blackburn owners have different views, with fresh stories emerging that Rhodes could be joining new favorites Middlesbrough. While is it suggested that City have made a another inquiry, Derby, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest are also said to be showing more than a passing interest.
It is understood that Blackburn are only willing to agree to a loan deal if terms for a permanent transfer in the summer are also agreed. Cash-strapped Blackburn have struggled with the Football League financial fair play criteria [FFP] ending with a transfer ban which restricted them from signing players in January. Forest also came under the same ban.
Also reported is that Derby, Norwich and Middlesbrough also made renewed enquiries for Fulham forward Ross McCormack. Like Rhodes, McCormack is Fulham's big earner and said to be considering whether to let him leave Craven Cottage again with a very similar deal wanted....
