Hughton and Holt in the News

Brighton have named Chris Hughton as their new manager after Sami Hyypia resigned last week

Brighton Chairman Tony Bloom said, "Chris has an excellent record in coaching and management. He's hugely respected, both nationally and internationally, and he has great contacts within the game.

Now we will see how Hughton sets his sides up, whether his cautiouness was down to his brief when he took over at City; if not I feel sorry for Albion Supporters  A move for Bassong now seem certain

One other piece of News is that Grant Holt is out for the rest of the season after limping out of his last loan game for Huddersfield he reurned to troubled Wigan with the hope of gaining first team time.  A further scan confirmed the damage was much worse than first thought.

Malky Mackay said: “It’s devastating news for the boy and we’ll do all we can to get him back as quickly and as safely as possible.”.

Clearly Holty himself is devastated  saying  " Absolutely gutted is an understatement"   and “To hear the outcome is bitterly disappointing." “I think everyone knows I wanted to come back and show everyone what I’m about.

Holt faces a long struggle to gain his fitness and I do wonder if at 33 years old this injury may be a bridge too far for him, but one thing Holt is,... is a fighter and never know when he is beaten/

I certainly wish him a all the very best in his battle.. Only one Grant Holt
