It's that time of the week again with Alex Neil's pre match press conference providing us with our usual dose of injury news ahead of this week's tough away match at West Brom on Saturday.
We already knew that Alex Tettey was out for the season, it seems that Nathan Redmond has now joined him on the sidelines for extended period having picked up an ankle injury in last weekend's fighting draw against Man City, although the prognosis for Redmond is better than it is with Alex tettey as he is expected to be back for the last two or three games of the season.
Having been asked if he was considering recalling either of the Murphy twins on the back of Redmond's injury Alex Neil informed the press conference that he felt he had adequate cover at present, and the impression I got was that his place is likely to be taken by Vadis Odija Ofoe who is back fit again having picked up a groin injury after Christmas
What was new news this morning is the injury to Ryan Bennett who has not been able to train all week, and as consequence is rated as highly unlikely to play tomorrow, Brady & Naismith are like last week 'both in contention' with Brady reckonned to be the more likely of the two to pass a late fitnedd test if there is any truth in that claims at all!
All we can hope is that whatever the starting lineup we fight like we did last week, and Newcastle & Sunderland get a draw to keep us in contention of beating the drop (oh, and if we could have a few sendings off in the North East Derby that would be better still!)
