It looks like City's rumoured target, Jonas Gutierrez is leaving Newcastle or  so it would seem from the Argentine’s tweets on Saturday night.  Gutierrez still has 18 months to run on his contract at St James’s Park, making just two appearances for Alan Pardew this season.

It was rumoured that Gutierrez was a target for Chris Hughton,  it makes perfect sense to make the link, the winger is said to have played some of his football while under Hughton's managership at Newcastle, he is said to work extremely hard in training which is something Hughton favours. 

QPR were said to be interested as well, but with the World Cup on the horizon it is believed Gutierrez would perfer the stage of the premier league to showcase his talents in forcing his way into his Countries squad.
