The Mail Online has an interesting little piece,  a rumour  that I guess not many of us could have guessed.

Suggesting that Chris Hughton is interested in Liverpool's back up keeper Brad Jones, he sees adding Jones to the squad would  add more competition for John Ruddy . Jones, 30, has made just one league appearance for Liverpool since signing from Middlesbrough in 2010.

It would enable the chance for perhaps one of either Steer or Rudd to be allowed to go out on loan and gain some much needed experience and game time.
