In his pre match press conference prior to the Sunderland fixture Alex Neil suggested that Timm Klose was touch and go for selection, but as we have seen a few times recently his injury updates are sometimes a bit adventurous and he likes to keep the opposition guessing (Brady & Naismith injuries anyone?)

However I don't think there was any question mark on Saturday when Klose arrived at the ground on crutches

In his post match media conference Alex Neil was forced to admit that the season may be over for our Swiss centre back signed in January for just over £7m as Klose has 'tweaked his knee ligaments' and is likely to be out for six weeks

Just how much he was missed was clear on Saturday as Bassong who replaced was caught out of position on many occasions and it just served to highlight the influence Klose has had on the team since joining.

With our Premier League status now looking a bit more fraught following our defeat and wins for Sunderland and Newcastle I wonder how many City fans are now wondering if we have seen him in a City shirt for the last time?
