Lafferty Honoured With Pub Renamed After HIm

A pub in the Northern Irish village where Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty grew up has decided to name it after him for the duration of the upcoming European Championships, the Mayfly Inn in Kesh will be called 'The Lafferty' for the duration of the Euros and owners have even plastered his face and squad number on the pub signs above the entrance.

Lafferty was among the top scorers in Europe in qualifying, with only five players scoring more, and he recently earned his 50th international cap and marked the occasion by finding the net against Belarus.

Northern Ireland jetted off to Austria on Monday for a training camp before their first game of the tournament against Poland on June 12.

Despite his form for his National Team, Lafferty has unfortunately found first team opportunities hard to come by at Carrow Road and was sent out on loan to Birmingham City last season.
