Our congratulations go to former City Ass Manager Lee Clark who has been appointed manager at Birmingham after impressing in two rounds of interviews as acting chairman Peter Pannu sought a successor to Chris Hughton, who departed St Andrew's for City almost three weeks ago.
Clark is understood to have been recommended to Birmingham by outgoing boss Hughton, whose impressive work in little under a year in charge of the financially-stricken midlands outfit helped him land the role at City.
Clark was surprisingly sacked at Huddersfield after leading his team to a 43-game unbeaten run, a Football league record. He will have his work cut out, as the midlands club is still under a transfer embargo for their accounts being submitted late.
