Leeds Fan Q&A's

With a big home on the horizon, with Leeds being the visitors we have teamed up with Vital-Leeds for a a question and Answer session.  As many can guess the questions do contain questions and answers on What do Leeds fans think of City buying several of their players. Other topics include Morison, Leeds Onwers,

Our thanks goes to Daz over there on the vital Leeds network .

CR.. Leeds has had many changes in Owners and Managers recently. Are the Current Ones, The Ones to take you onwards?

VLeeds ..I am hoping so but a lot could still depend on what the Football League try to do to Massimo Cellino. The FL are still hoping to ban him from owning Leeds but firstly, it is likely to get dragged through the courts and secondly, he is showing that he is stabilising the club at long last.
I have been happy with 95% of what he has done so far since his arrival. He has brought in fifteen players who are mostly young and learning and they already look like they have the capabilities to go far (Keep your hands off).

CR  I have heard many Leeds fans speak with great anger over Norwich City because of the players we paid money for, is it a fair reflection?

VLeedsI .. would have to be honest and say it is. I think the one that really hurt the most was seeing Leeds born youngster Jonny Howson sold. I cannot begrudge any player wanting to better themselves and move into the Premier League and Snodgrass and Becchio did stay around longer than some would have expected. It was frustrating to see one club coming inand buying them all.

CR. How do you view and See Norwich Doing this season?

VLeeds.  .I am not sure about your manager and I think he was probably a cheap appointment by the club. Surprising when you have dropped out of the Premier League and have the parachute payment to play with that you didn’t go with a bigger name but having said that, you are top of the league, so who am I to question his abilities.
I expected all the teams coming down to be challenging for automatic promotion. The Championship is so unpredictable though and it is no surprise that it isn’t going to plan for a couple of the clubs who came down.

CR..Steve Morison went the other way in Becchio deal, many Norwich fans were undecided over Morison, he was often viewed as being lazy, uninterested etc. How do Leeds Fans view him?

VLeeds..Pretty much the same way Norwich fans did and he doesn’t endear himself to the Leeds fans. The one thing we ask for is 100% commitment. You can be an average player but if you give 100% you will endear yourself to the Leeds fans. One of your ex-players Andy Hughes is a prime example of that. He wasn’t blessed with ability but he wore his heart on his sleeve and gave 100%. He was loved by the Leeds faithful.
He has just got back into the squad again after 18-months away so it is up to him which way it goes.

CR..Where do you see the finishing positions for yourselves and Norwich?

VLeeds.....If we can be in the top twelve at Christmas, I can see us finishing strongly. With so many new players and mostly imported, it was always going to take time to gel. We have shown signs that we can do something this season but I would be happy with a top half finish because I think a season in this division would be good for the squad to challenge strongly next season.

I think the fact you are already top of the table tells its own story. I will be shocked if you don’t finish in the top two but you never know in the championship.

CR   Finally a Score Prediction ?

VLeeds..Norwich have cost me a fortune this season due to their home form. All I ever hear is, ‘played well but couldn’t finish’. Sooner or later you will find your shooting boots at home, I just hope it is the week after Leeds have been.
I will be happy if we can come away with a point. 1-1

Many thanks Daz, we appreciate your honesty and openess, we wish all the very best for the rest of the season, (except on Tuesday (lolol),   hope we get a game that sticks in the memories for all the right reasons.
