Norwich City 'Confident' Over McCormack Deal

Norwich City are 'confident' they are close to striking a deal for Ross McCormack according to reports circulating this evening.

Fulham have already rejected approaches from Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle United and Aston Villa this summer after previously shunning interest from Middlesbrough in the last two transfer windows.

The 29-year-old McCormack is widely seen as one of the top strikers in England outside the top-flight, and he has not disappointed for Fulham since joining from Leeds two years ago.

42 goals in his two seasons have followed but the player wants to be in the top-flight or at least battling for promotion which he does not believe will come this season at Craven Cottage.

Now Norwich are hoping to be successful where many others have tried and failed, and the two clubs are talking with reports saying that the two are as little as £1 million apart.

Norwich have already had a bid of £10 million rejected, but are talking about increasing their bid with City boss Alex Neil making it clear to his bosses that he wants McCormack deal done soon.
