Norwich City and Derby County are both keen on Wigan Athletic winger Yanic Wildschut, but the Latics have rejected offers of £4 million from both of the Championship sides, according to ITV Sport.
The Canaries and Rams both have ambitions of finishing in the top six this season, but find themselves with work to do in order to qualify for the playoffs.
Norwich boss Alex Neil has seen some turnover in his squad during the January transfer window, while Derby manager Steve McClaren is believed to want to sign attacking players before Tuesday’s deadline.
Wildschut has started 19 Championship games for Wigan this season, scoring four goals in the process and looks comfortable in English football’s second tier.
The former Middlesbrough man played an important role in getting the DW Stadium outfit promoted from League One last term and now looks like one of the club’s better players.
The report claims that Wigan are desperate to hold onto the Dutchman and will spurn any offers for him before the transfer window closes on Tuesday.
However, should Norwich or Derby come back with an improved bid for the 25-year-old it may well test Dave Whelan’s resolve with the player having been left out of today's match day squad.
