Norwich City striker Kyle Lafferty has been charged by the FA for allegedly breaking betting rules.
It's alleged that back in February the Northern Irishman breached rule E8 which prohibits players from betting on football matches.
Norwich weren't in league action on the day in question (February 20).
"It is alleged that on 20 February 2016, the Norwich City forward placed a bet on the result, progress, conduct or any other aspect of, or occurrence in, a football match or competition in breach of FA Rule E8." – FA Statement
Lafferty has until 5 August 2016 to respond to the charge. Strict rules preventing anyone involved in the sport betting on matches came into force two years ago.
