The last day of the window as usual brings many rumours and false stories, it is what makes it sometimes an exciting time for supporters. Today has been no different after what seemed a slow non eventful day for the Yellow followers it kicked into life with the first reports of City lodging a bid for Craig Noone of Cardiff, sources close to the Welsh club report that Cardiff have no wish to sell the player, then a little later the sources state we lodged a bid in the region of £2 million.
Cardiff sources insist it would take a substantial fee for Noone to leave, and it is currently unclear how close their £2m offer comes to the Bluebirds' valuation.
There may be more milage in this one but would need to move up a gear or two to beat the deadline.
The most intriguing one is Graham Dorrans. of WBA, early reports had Burnley bidding £3 million which seemingly was rejected ofr not meeting their valuation, but like myself many believe it has probably more to do with not selling to a rival. Sky reports City have a bid of £4 million accepted and that the player is coming to Norfolk for talks and a medical. Now it is emerging that Martin Olsson is part of the deal, The clubs are still negotiating terms and a cash fee might also be involved, but both moves appear likely to be completed.
Will City be in need of another left back ? Having only Garrido in the building as the only recognised left back. Will there suddenly be another signing ?
Another that has gained more interest as the day wore on was Kyle Lafferty to go Turkish club Caykur Rizespor, as we suggested the other day.
Still awaiting more on this if there is anymore to get
