It looks very likely that Brendan Rodgers will be confirmed as next manager of Liverpool in the next 24 hours.
The Northern Irishman emerged as favourite for the job after talks with Wigan boss Roberto Martinez broke down.
Rodgers, 39, is yet to make any official statement or reaction, whilst Swansea are thought to be receiving around £5million in compensation for their boss, whics written into Rodger's contract.
Rodgers expressed his wish not to go through the Liverpool interview proceedure, seemingly distancing himself from the job, but after talks broke down with Matinez, Liverpool have seemingly opted to offer the vacant hot seat to the Swansea boss.
We expect Martinez to be the new manager by the start of next week, although many media reports still keep putting Lambert on the top of the favourite list, and suggest an official approach will be made.
