I don't know about anyone else but I am getting more than cheesed off with all this stuff about Lambert wanting to come back after  this player and that player, first it was Holt and  now according to the Maill he wants to lure John Ruddy to Villa Park .

I know there is nothing anyone can do about these stories, but don't they get on your flaming nerves, in this latest effort  they have the Villa manager wanting Ruddy as a replacement for Shay Given who has according to them suffered with injuries and loss of form in recent seasons.

As a replaement for Ruddy the Mail who are taking their info from the Mirror;  has Chris Hughton going after Birmingham's Jack Butland .   Butland's is known to known to Hughton, having worked with him at St Andrew's last season and  apparently is prepared to offer £4million for the 19-year-old.

Southampton are currently leading the chase in the England's top flight but are yet to met Birmingham's valuation of their prize asset.
