City sign 28-year-old Scottish international defender Steven Whittaker on a four-year deal, subject to international clearance being received.

The free agent, who previously played for Scottish giants Rangers, is set to become Chris Hughton's first signing as Norwich City Manager since taking the reins on June 7, 2012.

Whittaker has 15 caps for Scotland at international level, and is a versatile defender who can play in a variety of positions, including midfield, but has predominantly been used as a right-back by his former clubs
