A little quiet in the Sunday Rags today, as the transfer Market starts to show signs of kicking into life.
Todays offering have still have City showing interest in Hughton's ex signing Leon Best, he still hasn't made the move to Blackburn who have apparently offered him a very good deal to drop down a level. City and Southampton (one of his old clubs) are said to be waiting with offers on the table.
Another effort from the People has us showing interest in Burnley's Chris McCann, having been dogged with knee injuries over the past few seasons, he came through last season reasonably unaffected from previous injuries; in fact he was made captain by manager Eddie Howe.
Finally one from the Sunday Mail has once again looking at Birmingham winger Chris Burke, he was an integral part of Birmingham side last season making 61 of the 62 game the Blues played.
Why we would need another midfielder in McCann, I have no idea, unless there is going to be space made in the squad, Burke and Best I can fully understand as Hughton knows both after having managed them at Newcastle and Birmingham respectively.
I will be a little surprised if these turn into signings, I thought we could shop a little highier, after hearing that Hughton has the biggest budget ever given to a City manager.
