The Gods of football have been kind, with Derby, Middlesbrough and Brentford all suffering defeats, then Bournemouth continue a mini slump by dropping two more valuable home points with a home draw against City last opponents Blackburn. Only Watford in the top group won, in a thrilling 3-2 away win at Leeds, Wolves continued their late surge with a narrow 1-0 success at Cardiff.
Watford clamber above both City and tomorrow's visitors Ipswich, a win for either side will take them to within one point of the second place Middlesbrough. After today's surprises I imagine neither camp wants a defeat at this stage, if the game needed a little more edge, it has it now.
With home advantage, being on a good run and given the recent history over the Suffolk club, for City the outcome is in our own hands. Points, Pride and possible Promotion are at stake..
So as our battle cry goes.
Never Mind The Danger ..Steady on, now's your chance,
