Abdisalam Ibrahim (22)  midfielder from Manchester City . thought to be already staying local ready for further talks with City.  A Norwegian footballer born in Somalia, likened to Patrick Vieira.

Earlier reports suggested that the player was on his way to France, he has attracted the attention of St Ettiene, Toulouse, Lorient and Lille after being told by City he can leave.

Ibrahim has been likened to Patrick Vieira and Yaya Toure, but has failed to forced his way into City’s star-studded team and spent the first half of the season on loan at Stromsgodset, having been brought up in Norway since the age of seven.

He has been granted free transfer but City want training compensation of around £250-300,000
