Another home victory in City excellent run, hard earned and perhaps finished the game hanging on a little, but there are little doubts the old football cliche can be applied to this game " A Game of Two Halves" The first City were outstanding making Sunderland look anything else but a premiership side' playing some of the best football seen at Carrow Road this season
The lead up to Pilkington's very well taken goal, I believe contained some where in the region of 28 passes, the final ball from Johnson split the defence but left Pilkington with still a fair amount to do, which he did expertly.
The second half a different story, I had to wonder if Sunderland were ever going to look like a football team who had been in the premier a while, and having spent money on players that City can still only dream of. But City's defence hung on to take a deserved victory, how Sunderland's scorer Craig Gardner can claim they deserved to win the game on their second half showing I don't know. It is all about taking your chances, something City did and Sunderland didn't. Nor is about dominating play or creating more chances.. it is about taking them.
