Ben Godfrey's move to Everton is edging closer after the Norwich defender completed his medical ahead of a £25m switch to Goodison Park, according to Sky Sports reports.
Everton's latest bid, which is understoon to be worth £25million plus add-ons which could see the deal rise to £30m, was accepted by the Canaries for their star defender earlier this week.
Norwich had initially rejected Everton's offer of £20m plus £6m in add-ons but the Goodison Park club countered quickly to reach an agreement.
And now Sky Sports report that Ben Godfrey has passed his medical and should be announced as an Everton player shortly.
The fee is a record received by Norwich, eclipsing the previous mark of £20m, plus £4m in add-ons, from Leicester City for James Maddison in 2018.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has been eager to increase his options in defence following injuries to Mason Holgate and Jarrad Branthwaite.
He had also been discussing a loan for Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori but Godfrey is seen as technically skilful player with big potential.
