Transfer Rumour: Carlton Morris Wanted Back By Hamilton

The 20-year-old plays the final game of his season-long loan stint with the Scottish Premiership club this weekend after scoring eight goals in 33 appearances.

Hamilton player / manager Martin Canning, who stepped up to replace Alex Neil at New Douglas Park, has made it clear Morris is a player he would be keen to work with again in the future.

“Carlton Morris will be going back to Norwich and we will be speaking to them in due course,” said Canning, speaking to the BBC. “He has done great for us this season. He has developed from the young kid that came in to leave a young man and has developed on the pitch as well."

“And, as far as I am aware, Carlton has enjoyed it. It has been a good experience for him."

“I am pretty sure his first focus will be to go back down and try to make an impact at Norwich and that would be my wishes for him - that is the whole purpose of being here. But if that wasn’t to be the case then we would be looking to bring him back up if the opportunity was there.”

Morris, who has made one senior appearance for Norwich City as a substitute in the 1-0 Championship defeat to Wigan in May 2015, previously had loan spells with both Oxford and York City in England.
