Transfer Rumour: Doncaster Loan Interest In Norwich Starlet Adam Idah Continues

Rovers are understood to have had an agreement to sign the 18-year-old on loan for the rest of the season, prior to an injury crisis at Norwich which paved the way for Idah to start recent matches.

He netted a hat trick in the FA Cup against Preston North End, earning a starting berth against Manchester United on Saturday.

After he featured for more than an hour for Norwich at Old Trafford, the subject of Idah was raised with Moore following Rovers' 2-0 win at Bristol Rovers.

But the Rovers boss - who has previously admitted to assessing Idah - was in no mood to discuss the youngster.

"He's a good player - that is why he is playing where he is playing," Moore said.

"I can't elaborate any more than that.

"I wish him well after his debut. Just like any other young player in the game I wish him well.

"My job and attention here is to focus on Doncaster Rovers.”

Norwich boss Daniel Farke has yet to fully rule out a loan move for Idah this month, with his striker issues set to ease next week.

It is expected that interest in the Republic of Ireland youth international will have heightened following his FA Cup heroics, bringing greater competition to Rovers for his services.

But the Canaries were confident the Keepmoat was the right place for Idah's development in his first loan move.

On his performance at Old Trafford, Farke said: "It was difficult for him in front of 70,000 people to be there with his first appearance in a Premier League starting line-up.

"Sometimes, you have to jump in the water.

"We got the feeling it was his chance because we have several injured strikers. Teemu Pukki and Josip Drmic will come back in the next days and it was a difficult situation.

"We backed him and he worked a lot. I was pleased with his workload and I didn't expect any miracles from him."
