Blackburn Rovers centre half Grant Hanley is a target for Norwich City, reports The Daily Express, with The Express suggesting that Rovers would sell Hanley for around £6m.
The 24 year old is set to leave Ewood Park this summer and has already been the subject of unsuccessful £5m bids from both Newcastle and Sheffield Wednesday.
The Express report that the interest from the Canaries is being driven by City's new first team coach, Alan Irvine, who knows Hanley well from his previous job as Blackburn's assistant manager.
Grant Hanley is only 24 years old, and has made 183 appearances for Rovers, scoring 8 goals and also has 23 Caps for Scotland, where he often plays alongside Russell Martin.
No doubt the Scottish connection of Martin, Whittaker and Naismith, not to mention the Scottish coaching set up will have contacts with Hanley and be able to sound him out.
