After a few days of ongoing speculation it seems that another promising hot prospect from the Bolton Wanderers academy is off to pastures new.
According to the Football Insider website, Norwich City have won the race to sign 18 year old midfielder Regan Riley. An article from them states:
“Norwich City have agreed a £250,000 deal to sign Bolton Wanderers midfielder Regan Riley, Football Insider understands.
The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has emerged as one of the League Two outfit’s brightest prospects and caught the eye of Premier League side Brighton this month.
A recruitment source told Football Insider the Canaries have won the race for Riley’s capture, with the teenager set to sign a three-year deal at Carrow Road.”
Making his debut last season alongside many of the other Bolton youngsters, Riley has only played once this season - 53 minutes against Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy. It is believed he has yet to sign professional terms with the Lancashire Club
