Norwich City are reported to be considering making a move this summer for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise defender Matthew Sorinola, according to an article published today by Football League World.
The 21-year-old left sided defender only joined the Belgian outfit from MK Dons last summer, hw went on to appear for the club 16 times in all competitions last season, however, 14 of these appearances were from the substitues bench
An earlier Football League World report in April had claimed that Swansea City had set their sights on the 21-year-old, with club manager Russell Martin said to be eyeing up a potential reunion with the youngster he managed previously.
Martin managed the young defender during their time at MK Dons together, With Sorinola enjoying a breakout season under the 36-year-old’s stewardship.
Appearing 43 times in all competitions during the 2020/21 campaign with the Buckinghamshire club, Sorinola netted two times and provided a further six assists, benefitting from a system that allowed wing-backs to thrive in an attacking sense.
Norwich will be hoping to mount a promotion push upon their return to the Championship and have proven to recruit intelligently when in the second tier before.
