Peterborough United have made the first move for Exeter City star Joel Randall but face rival interest from Celtic and Norwich City, according to a report published today by Football Insider.
The winger, 21, was previously the subject of three failed transfer bids from Charlton in the January transfer window having lit up League Two.
A recruitment source has told Football Insider that Peterborough have had a six-figure bid for Randall knocked back by Exeter.
The fourth-tier club are hopeful of securing a higher fee for the breakout star.
Exeter expect to lose Randall this summer with a year remaining on his contract.
Expected bids from Celtic and Norwich could push up the asking price for the youngster, which Lee Bowyer claimed in January was “around £1million”.
Randall, who is predominantly a left-sided attacker but can operate on both flanks, scored 10 goals and provided five assists for Exeter from 32 matches last season.
He has been at Exeter City since he was 11 and is a product of the same academy that has produced Ollie Watkins and Ethan Ampadu in recent years.
