It has been reported that Premier League duo Southampton and Norwich have joined the race for the highly-rated and hugely talented Linfield attacking midfielder.

The 15-year-old has already had a trial at Tottenham Hotspur and at Manchester City, with Chelsea also interested in taking the attacking midfielder on trial, according to the report.

It has been reported that Southampton and Norwich hope that them being able to offer a quicker pathway to first-team football convinces Allen to move to St. Mary’s Stadium or Carrow Road.

Tough choice

Allen is only 15 years of age, and it is clear that the Linfield attacking midfielder is not going to get into the first team of any club in the Premier League anytime soon.

What the teenager needs to do right now is move to a club where he is going to develop and improve the most in the next two to three years.
