According to The Rotherham Advertiser, Norwich City goalkeeper Michael McGovern is not on Rotherham United’s radar contrary to reports.
It was believed that Norwich City were prepared to sell or loan out Michael McGovern with Rotherham interested in the Northern Ireland international.
Rotherham were supposedly keen on a loan move with Norwich subsidising some of his wages.
However, these reports were wide of the mark.
Rotherham United, who were recently relegated to the Championship, do not want to sign the former Hamilton stopper.
The Millers will be in the market for a new ‘keeper after Lee Camp left on a free though.
McGovern joined Norwich last summer after impressing at Euro 2016.
The 32-year-old made 27 appearances for the Canaries but played second fiddle to John Ruddy for most of the season and will be allowed to leave on the right terms this summer.
Rotherham will not be his next destination though.
