The Tyne & Wear Derby today has just done City a massive favour 

In the luchtime Derby the result ended up all square which means City remain 2 points clear of the relegation zone - had Sunderland won we would have been back in it

The other helping hand to come from today's match is the late booking for Jack Colback meaning the Newcastle midfielder is now suspended for their trip to Carrow Road 

The team coming out of today's match best is definitely us - which is great considering we didn't play!
