According to the The Daily Mail West Ham are to increase their bid for Grant Holt to £5.5 mill.  whether this is the Mail's usual reporting or they have it right remains to be seen.  

Should City accept the bid, we wish Holt all the best as he will need joining a squad with an abundence of strikers which include Carlton Cole, Ricardo Vaz Te, Nicky Maynard, Sam Baldock and Frederic Piquionne.
