Wolfswinkel - Not A Done Deal Yet !

The deal to bring Ricky Van Wolfswinkel to Carrow Road has still some distance to go - talks are reported to be continuing, while the clubs have agreed a fee there is still the player's personal terms to be thrashed out.

We know Lisbon are short of money  having not been able to pay all of their staff wages for some time, it is suggested that City will be giving Lisbon a large chunk of the fee to help them pay the backlog;  it seems as that was a prerequisite of the transfer.

Lisbon themselves have said very little, only confirmed to the Portuguese Stock Exchange that “negotiations are underway” with Norwich.

While the talks continue Lisbon will be waiting to see if other clubs step in to rival or better the offer, so there is still some way to go before the deal is finalised and any announcements made.   However the Portuguese press are convinced that the deal is completed and Wolfswinkel will be a City player come the summer.

Like with any other transfer it isn't a done deal until he has signed on the dotted line and the club tell us so.  We could still be left with a big disappointment , especially  if another club steps in and offers more money , or  could be a more attractive club than what City are in  Wolfwinkel's eyes.  (City followers know that's almost impossible...hahaha)

If this is anything to go by, we could be in store for a very busy Summer transfer window, Hughton is setting his stall out very early
