Speaking in a post-match press conference after the stalemate with the Coventry City, Norwich manager Daniel Farke revealed that star defender Max Aarons didn’t damage his ankle as first thought when he went off, and that it was a shin injury.
“I am a bit sick speaking about injuries.
“It seems like the ankle is alright. That is some good news but it is painful. He was not able to walk on his own and in the changing room it is pretty swollen.
“We hope it is a contact injury and bruising and in a few days it goes down.
“If I have to judge our luck with injuries at the moment there is probably going to be some bone damage. Let’s wait for the assessment. It is too early to judge.
“The one thing we don’t need is another injury. The ankle seems to be alright but the shin was bloody and swollen. That is the first assessment.”
