Leeds United are plotting a late-window move for Norwich City attacking midfielder Todd Cantwell, according to website Football Insider.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side want to recruit an attacking midfielder and a number eight for their first team in the final 10 days of the summer window.
The former England Under-21 international has been linked with some of the Premier League’s elite clubs this year but talk of a potential move has gone quiet.
Leeds have him firmly in their sights now he has entered the final two years of his Norwich contract.
He signed a new Carrow Road deal last year but it only runs until 2022 and that leaves Daniel Farke’s side vulnerable to top-flight clubs.
Cantwell has begun the season in the Championship following Norwich’s relegation and has started the club’s opening two league fixtures.
He played in a right-sided attacking midfield position against both Preston North End and Huddersfield.
Operating predominantly on the left flank last season, Cantwell made 30 league starts among 40 appearances in all competitions, yielding seven goals and two assists.
