Norwich City striker Josh Sargent has reportedly been added to Nottingham Forest’s shortlist of forwards that they are looking at for this transfer window, according to a report from The Telegraph’s Mike McGrath.
Their fresh interest in Josh Sargent follows news of a bid last weekend from Toronto FC that was understood to be in the region of £13.4m – which led to Philippe Clement dropping the dissapointing news after the home FA up clash with Walsall that the 25-year-old USA international had made himself unavailable for selection for the game.
Despite the actions of Sargent, the Canaries head coach has been insistent in the message that his star striker will not be leaving this month.
It’s no surprise seeing several teams join the queue for the services of Sargent. The Norwich City striker has been a striker difficult to stop at Championship level since the Canaries returned to the second-tier.
With Nottingham Forest joining Toronto in the chase for their star striker, it will mean that NCFC will be in no rush to let Sargent leave with plenty of time in the transfer window still remaining to ensure they receive maximum value possible for their number one asset.
