West Ham could make a move to sign Norwich City attacker Todd Cantwell in January according to club insiders at the East London team, Claret and Hugh.
The Hammers are though to be considering a move for Norwich star Todd Cantwell if they cannot do a deal to sign Jesse Lingard in the January transfer window. Lingard remains a target for David Moyes and there will be an attempt to bring him back from Manchester United in the winter window.
But a move for Cantwell is reported to also be under consideration, with the young Canaries star in a similar contractual situation to Lingard.
His deal also expires at the end of the season and he is seen as the type of player who could operate across the forward line.
Cantwell can play on both the left and the right and in attacking midfield, and he has Premier League experience; the 23-year-old has made 42 appearances in the top-flight, scoring six goals and registering two assists.
Norwich look to be likely candidates to get relegated again this season – they have won just one of their opening 11 games of the campaign and are already five points off safety – and there is a feeling that the Norfolk born and bred youngster would be keen on a move to the London Stadium.
Cantwell is valued at £19.8m by Transfermarkt but he could be potentially available for a knock-down fee given his contractual situation in the January transfer window, from a Norwich City fans perspective though, hopefully not
