Transfer Rumour: Club Brugge 'interested' in Canaries Winger Christos Tzolis

Norwich City's young Greek winger Christos Tzolis is attracting interest from Belgian side Club Brugge ahead of a potential move this summer, according to a report.

The 20-year-old only made the move to Carrow Road in August 2021, having joined the Canaries for a fee of around £9.5m from Greek side PAOK.

However, Tzolis struggled to make an impact at Norwich in the 2021-22 campaign, starting just three Premier League games in a total of 14 league appearances under Daniel Farke and Dean Smith.

The winger did net a brace and add two further assists in Norwich's 6-0 demolition of Bournemouth in the EFL Cup just 12 days after his arrival in Norfolk, but was used sparingly as his side suffered an immediate return to the Championship.

As a result of his lack of playing time this year, Tzolis is prepared to ask to leave this summer, according to Greek outlet Metrosport.

The report suggests that Belgian Pro League outfit Club Brugge are interested in acquiring the Greek international either on a loan deal or a permanent transfer, having been interested in a move for him 18 months ago.

Tzolis enjoyed a breakthrough season with PAOK in the 2020-21 campaign, netting 16 goals and registering 10 assists in 46 games across all competitions, which led to the first of his 13 caps for Greece in October 2020, aged just 18.

Norwich City claimed to be 'in talks' with Millwaukee Brewers' owner Mark Attanasio

An American multi-millionaire businessman is understood to be in talks with Norwich City about a potential investment in the club.

Mark Attanasio, the owner of Major League Baseball franchise Millwaukee Brewers, attended last Sunday's season finale at Carrow Road, as reported in the Pink Un.

The Canaries have been relegated from the Premier League to the Championship.

They lost 5-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in their last match of the season.

In a recent interview with the club's media team, sporting director Stuart Webber hinted at some "exciting news" that supporters would be hearing about soon.

The club's majority shareholders are chef Delia Smith and her husband Michael Wynn-Jones.

Transfer Rumour: Max Aarons Arsenal Links Resurface

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have received a boost in their reported quest to sign Max Aarons from Norwich City in the summer transfer window.

The Sun reported last month that Arsenal and Manchester United are leading the race for Norwich right-back Aarons.  Alongside this, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also reported to be keen on the 22-year-old, who can also operate as a left-back and is understood to be valued at £20 million by the Canaries.

The Telegraph have now reported that Norwich will sell the English youngster, as they have been relegated the Championship. With the Arsenal rumours gaining pace on the back of this.

The Gunners are a rich club, and if they are able to finish in the Champions League places in the Premier League table this season, then they would be able to afford the £20 million transfer fee for Aarons.

Aarons, described as a player who “has got huge potential” by former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on his YouTube channel in September 2021, has made 28 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season, providing one assist in the process.  Alongside this he has featured regularly for the England U-21 team over the last couple of year

Transfer Rumour: Todd Cantwell Expected To Return To Norwich

Bournemouth look unlikely to pursue a permanent deal for Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell this summer, reports DorsetLive.

Cantwell, 24, joined Bournemouth on loan from Norwich City in January. The Englishman had fallen out of favour at Carrow Road and has so far racked up 11 Championship outings for the Cherries.

But Cantwell has been left out of the last two matchday squads by Scott Parker. The Norwich City man has failed to record any goal contributions in what’s been a disappointing loan spell on the south coast and now, DorsetLive have revealed that Bournemouth look unlikely to pursue a permanent deal.

Their report reveals that Norwich City would command upwards of £10million for Cantwell, and that Bournemouth will wait until the season is over to confirm their stance on the player, but that it’s looking ‘increasingly unrealistic’ that the Canaries will manage to offload the midfielder for the asking price this summer.

A disappointing decline…

Cantwell burst into the scene a few years ago with Norwich City. He showed a lot of promise in his earlier years but he’s since seen his career go on something of a decline.

He’s no longer favoured at Norwich City and his spell at Bournemouth has been widely disappointing, so it remains to be seen what the future holds for the attacking midfielder.

His Norwich City contract expires next season. The Canaries might look to sell him this summer as to avoid losing him on a free transfer, but it seems unlikely that anyone will meet that £10million valuation after his Bournemouth spell.

Transfer Rumour: Norwich Linked With Loan Move For Villa Striker Cameron Archer

With Norwich's relegation confirmed, the transfer rumour and stories are starting to flow as people speculate on The Canaries rebuilding plans for life in the Championship next year.

Kevin Phillips believes that Aston Villa will look to keep Cameron Archer long-term.

The forward has impressed while out on loan in the second half of the season. And, the 20-year old has scored seven Championship goals from 19 appearances since joining Preston North End in January.

Norwich City have been linked with a move for the striker, with former Villa boss Dean Smith said to be interested in re-uniting with the youngster.  But the Premier League outfit are not interested in selling the striker on a permanent basis this summer.

However, Phillips believes another loan move would be the right step forward for Archer as he continues his development as a senior player.

“I would think he would go on loan again,” said Phillips talking to website Football Insider.

“Norwich are back in the Championship again next season.

“He’s done so well at Preston, and that would give him another opportunity to do well at a club where the manager knows him – and they like to play attractive football.”

“It’s another learning curve for his development.

“He could turn out to be a really important player and asset for Aston Villa – they clearly like him.

“He’d only be in and around the first-team next season, so for his development – it’s best for him to have another spell at the top of the Championship.

“That way, he’s well-equipped to come back to the club and play well in the Premier League – or he can be an asset in the transfer market.”

Tony Cascarino Two loan players have gone there from big clubs and have "gone backwards" at Norwich"

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino believes Billy Gilmour and Brandon Williams have regressed since their loan moves to Norwich City last summer.

Norwich’s relegation to the Championship was confirmed on Saturday following a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa, their 23rd loss of the campaign.

In a side that has struggled to adapt to the quality of the Premier League following promotion, Chelsea’s Gilmour and Manchester United’s Williams have done little to impress their parent clubs, with Cascarino even going so far as to say that they have “gone backwards”.

Five ways for Man Utd to salvage what’s left of this wretched season

“The lad Gilmour that came to Norwich, didn’t do particularly well at the club, and the fans turned on him at the start season,” he told talkSPORT.

“He’s a terrific young footballer but, somehow, he’s not grown.

“We talk all the time about young lads going elsewhere and improving – the lad Williams as well from Man United – but they’ve gone backwards this year.

“Two players have gone there from big clubs and have gone backwards at Norwich.”
