Laudrup Wants to Keep Graham

Much rumoured and reported target for Chris Hughton is not for sale,  Michael Laudrup has stated his desire to keep hold of Graham who is now getting a run of games due to scoring sensation Michu not being a 100% fit. But Graham is  repaying the manager with 2 goals in two games.

However this seemingly doesn't rule out a move totally,  Laudrup will be speaking with the player to see what he wishes to do

The Swansea boss said: "We have not had official bids for Danny. He is playing well right now so obviously he is important for us, because he is scoring goals.

"But let us see what he is saying. That I am talking to players does not mean I tell them they can leave. That is just the way I am. I speak to players.  (Sky Sports)

While Laudrup has stressed he would like to keep Graham, I cannot think of a manager wouldn't want to have him on their books, but that doesn't mean that Graham will be first choice over Michu; he wouldn't be a bad choice to have as back up to the leading striker.

But  Graham is said to be frustrated by limited opportunities of first team starts, and that is probably the key to the whole matter.   All well and good that the club wants to keep him, but a player especially in the prime  of his career needs to be playing regually and that is clearly what the player wants, not to play second fiddle.
